The standard block, also known as a “straight” is used in the straight areas of the ICF wall construction. By off-setting the seams of each 4’ long block, a stronger, more secure wall is created. The Straight Block typically makes up 85% of the ICF wall assembly on most residential & commercial jobs. With 2 layers of Type II EPS molded with our patented internal webs, these light-weight blocks assemble with ease, creating a finished wall that is ready for concrete.

The webs or ties that create the structure of the Advantage Standard block are molded in during the manufacturing process. The edge of each web sits just 3/8” in from the outside of each block and provides a sturdy surface for finishes and attachments. Molded right into the webs are rebar saddles that hold the horizontal rebar in place without the use of ties or wires.

The Advantage ICF System conforms to CAN/ULC-S701-01 Type 2, CCMC Evaluation Report 13101-R.
