| The Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA) has awarded Effect Home Builders the EnviroHome designation for a home in Edmonton, one of only 10 such possible projects scheduled to take place across Canada in 2009. Alberta Environment Minister Rob Renner and other distinguished guests will be attending the Grand Opening in Edmonton at 3:00 pm on May 21, 2009. This home built with Advantage ICF blocks is one of the first homes in Alberta to achieve an outstanding EnerGuide rating of 86 following the Alberta Government energy efficient rebate announcement for new homes. The home is constructed with Advantage ICF blocks from the footings to the roof, is R-2000 certified and has achieved Built Green Platinum status. The purchaser of the home qualifies for a $10,000 rebate from the government upon possession.
